Omschrijving
We have a double room available in our five story Georgian townhouse, starting from 1st July. The house would suit someone who is relaxed, tidy, gregarious, open minded, a foodie, and not a musical snob. We love hosting friends, having dinner parties or drinks in the evening, and occasional parties over the weekend. Despite the fact that there is always someone downstairs you can hang out with, we do respect each other’s alone time. Friends are always welcome, and we have plenty of space for people to stay over if they are visiting London, or just need a place to crash.
We are a mixed house, equal number of guys and girls; differing ages, cultural backgrounds, interest and careers, but what holds us together is our sense of humour and openness. We do not have many house meetings or house rules as we always keep each other informed of any changes that we wish to make, or if we feel that certain things are being neglected. The house is a smoking house, although there is technically only one smoker living here, and the rest join in when there is alcohol around. The majority of people are vegetarian, with a couple of carnivores thrown in, so no issues with people cooking meat, but we do not buy or want low class meat or eggs in the house. On the other hand, low quality alcohol is definitely our thing, so Strongbow lovers welcome. But please do not get put off by our weaknesses as we also appreciate a nice bottle of vino, craft beer, or a classic cocktail.
Ok, so a little bit about the house and room. The room is situated on the second floor of the house and is facing the back garden. It is equipped with a double bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The rest of the furniture and items you see in the pictures will be removed. The house has one shower, one toilet, and one bathroom. All the rooms have wooden flooring, but the staircase is carpeted, and the carpet is really dilapidated- it used to be cream, now it's a gorgeous shade of brownish grey. The whole of the basement area is communal and it has a open plan feel to it- large kitchen and living room. The back garden is small, but big enough for a BBQ and a bunch of people to hang out in.
There are 12 bus connections in front of our house, connecting you to pretty much any area in London. Kennington and Elephant and Castle underground stations are only 10min away. We also have an area in the house where you can store your bike if you prefer to cycle everywhere.
The deposit is £600 and the rent is £495 per month, plus approx. £30 bills- sometimes more depending on the quarterly bills. We also have a cleaner that comes once a week, but that bill is also done on a monthly basis.
So, if you like what you hear, then give us a shout. ?
