1998 Vw Transporter T4 2.5TDI Campervan / DayVan

Up for sale is my Vw Transporter T4 2.5TDI. The only reason i am selling the van is that i have seen a bike i fancy and unfortunately i can only afford to keep one toy so the van has got to go.

Mechanically The van is 100% spot on no knocks, rumbles, rattles or squeaks. The engine is the 5 cylinder 2.5TDI 102hp intercooled version which has just had both cam timing and fuel pump timing belts replaced along with air,oil and fuel filters being renewed as well. The van also benefits from having a brand new battery fitted, new brake pads and brake discs all round, new hand brake cable, new front brake flexipipes and a fairly recent starter motor fitted. As you can see from the pics the van is sitting on genuine 18" Audi alloy wheels all of which are fitted with nearly new tyres. The only thing worth mentioning on the mechanical side of things is the exhaust has probably seen better days, its not leaking or ready to fall off its just getting rather scabby and worth mentioning as it will need attention in the next year or so but apart from that everything to the best of my knowledge is spot on.

The interior as you can probably tell from the pics is everything you expect from a home built camper. The previous owner has done a lovely job kitting the van out so all credit goes to him for converting it. It is fully insulated and carpet lined from front to back, it has masses of storage space in the cupboards and under the front bench and rear rock n roll bed, There is a smev 9222 fitted and all plumbed in, 12v interior lighting and best of all there is a chemical toilet built into a space under the rear bed. All electrics in the van are ran off an auxiliary battery and split charge system so there is zero chance of running the engine battery flat and being stranded in the middle of nowhere. The front seat is from an alfa 156 and is extremely comfy for long journeys it is on a swivel base so can be rotated to face any direction you like.

Bodily the van isn't a show winner but its certainly presentable enough, unfortunately at some point the van has had a second rate paint job, quite flat and orange peely, but on the plus side whoever painted it did take the time to colour code the bumpers so its got that going for itself. The arches are as you would expect from this age of van quite bubbly and crispy but they are all whole and in one piece.i will do my best to picture the worst areas. The underside has been under sealed professionally from front to back to try and keep any more corrosion from getting to the bodywork . The best thing to do is probably come and view its condition for yourself before buying so you know exactly what you are getting.

Included in the sale are a huge drive away awning, wind break and a couple of camping seats so its 100% ready to drive away and go camping.
